What can I expect at a planting event? At a planting event we prepare the ground to plant trees and we also do site maintenance, which means we have plenty of different things to try. If you're up for a really good workout you can learn how to use an auger, or push a mower around, or whipper snip. If you don't want to get too sweaty, you can help with tree planting, weeding, mulching or watering. We love having folks of all ages and energy levels at our planting events.

What do I need to bring?A water bottle, sun-smart clothes and hat, and covered shoes. Sunscreen and insect repellent are a good idea too. We provide the shade, snacks, ear-protection, gloves and tools. If you have a favourite mattock or pair of gardening gloves, you're very welcome to bring your own.

Can I drive my own car to the planting site? The planting site is usually 4WD only, and is a couple of minutes drive from where we meet at Tamarind Bend. If it's nice and dry, you're welcome to drive your own car down to the planting site with us in convoy. If it's been wet, then you'll definitely need a 4WD, and you'll need to walk the last 100 metres from where we park the cars. For anyone without a 4WD or who just wants to car-pool, we will ferry you in and out. Please make sure you arrive on time to the meet-up point.

Where do you plant? Our main revegetation site is along Thomatis Creek in Holloways Beach. You can learn more about the site and why we're planting there, over at our blog.
